Jackson and Elissa Oliver

Elissa Lear McCarty and Jackson Edward Oliver were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. June 9, 2012, at Oakhurst Plantation in Inverness, Miss. The bride is the daughter of Elizabeth Lear McCarty of Indianola, Miss., and Chuck and Marcia McCarty of Indianola, Miss. The groom is the son of Andy and Bonnie Chessher Oliver Miller and Mike and Kim Oliver of Fort Smith, Ark.

The Rev. Susan Crawford performed the ceremony. Jackie Burkhalter presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s best friend Grace Richards of Atlanta was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s cousins Jordan Lear of Oxford, Miss., Anna Watson of Jackson, Miss., and groom’s sister Grace Miller of Gainesville.

The groom’s brother Sean Oliver of Gainesville was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friends John Wells of Denver, Colo., Travis Smith of St. Paul, Minn., and bride’s brother Lucas McCarty of Indianola, Miss.
D.K. Baria was the wedding coordinator.

The bride wore her mother’s gown of gossamer organza and grandmother’s cathedral length veil.

The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Nola restaurant in Indianola, Miss., on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s family gave a reception at Oakhurst Plantation in Inverness, Miss., following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Playa Mujeres, Mexico, the couple reside in Atlanta.
