Robert and Lane Park

Miss Lane Elizabeth Farkas and Mr. Robert Wesley Park were united in marriage at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stephen Julius Farkas of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cleveland Park of Newborn, Ga.

Dr. Terry Walton and Elder Randy Waters performed the ceremony. Pianist Ms. Michelle Truelove, soloist Ms. Mary Susan Herrington, and organist Mr. Keith Jefcoat presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Mrs. Ashlee Garland Pope of Valdosta was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Ms. Mary Susan Herrington of Gainesville, Ms. Secrest Mincey of Gainesville, Ms. Lauren Wesley Oaks of Jackson, Miss., Ms. Jill Kathleen Parham of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Ms. Lacy Melea Williams of Nashville, Tenn.

The groom's brother Mr. Nathan Timothy Park of Madison, Ga., was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride's brother Mr. Stephen Brett Farkas of Athens, grooms' friends Mr. Hugh Talmadge Henderson Jr. of Dahlonega, Mr. Joseph Wesley Jones of Dawsonville, Mr. Timothy Scott Motley of Columbus, Ga., and Mr. Matthew Daniel Needham of Cumming.

Ms. Martha Hodge, Mrs. Dawn Fulenwider and Mrs. Sandy Pethel were the wedding coordinators.

The bride carried her grandmother and grandfather's handkerchiefs and the groom's great-grandmother's cameo.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at First United Methodist Church in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's parents gave a reception at Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in Gainesville.
