Joshua and Julie Brandsma

Julie Ann Evans and Joshua Marvin Brandsma were united in marriage Oct. 23, 2011, in Cleveland. The bride is the daughter of Terry and Connie Evans of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Scott Allen and Roseanne Brandsma of Murrayville.

The Rev. Tom Smiley performed the ceremony. Guitarist Alex McGrath and accordionist Ashley McGrath presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride's friend Mary Tomol of Atlanta was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's friends Meighan Melancon of Buford, Rebecca Cribbs of Buford, Jennie McDonald of Murrayville, and groom's sister Kelsea Brandsma of Murrayville. The bride's cousin Allison Kelly was the flower girl.

The groom's father Scott Brandsma of Murrayville and groom's friend Christopher Ciotti of Gainesville were the best men. Groomsmen were the groom's friends Brady Bragg of Gainesville, Kyle Hoefer of Alpharetta, Robert Finlayson of Gainesville and bride's brother David Evans of Buford. The bride's cousin Joshua Kelly of Cumming was the ring bearer.

Crevolyn Wiley and Emily Williams were the wedding coordinators.

The bride wore an angel pin in memory of her sister Jamie Evans, her grandmother's pin, a necklace given by the groom and groom's great-grandmother's watch. She carried her grandmother's prayer box and her mother's six pence.

The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner at Long Mountain Farm in Cleveland on the eve of the wedding.

Following a honeymoon to Belize and Cozumel, Mexico, the couple reside in Charleston, S.C.
