Anne and Anthony Durel

Miss Anne Elizabeth Cobb and Mr. Anthony Richard Durel were united in marriage at noon Feb. 16, 2008, at First Methodist Chapel in Gainesville. The bride is the daughter of Ms. DaAnne Blanchard Watson of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Louis Durel of Auburn, Calif.

The Rev. Dr. Terry Walton performed the ceremony. Pianist Mr. Keith Jefcoat, cellist Miss Mary Alice Swope and violinist Miss Elizabeth Jobson presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her mother. The bride's sister Mrs. Claudia Cobb McEachern of Roswell was matron of honor. The bride's niece Miss Virginia Staten Cobb of Gainesville was the jingle girl.

The groom's brother Mr. Timothy James Durel of Roseville, Calif., was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom's nephews Master Matthew Phillip Durel and Master Joseph James Durel, both of Roseville. Ushers were Mr. James William Cobb Jr. of Gainesville and Mr. Michael Jeffrey McEachern of Roswell.

Mr. Christopher Davidson, Miss Jane Carpenter and Miss Lucy Link were wedding coordinators. Miss Martha Frances Ware, Miss Victoria Pharr Furnelli and Miss Tamara Colquitt Wilman kept the bride's book.

The rehearsal dinner was given by friends of the bride's family at a private residence in Gainesville on the eve of the wedding.

The bride's mother gave a Southern jazz brunch at Rudolph's in Gainesville following the ceremony.

Following a wedding trip to Jade Mountain in St. Lucia, the couple reside in Stavanger, Norway.
