Mary Lea Brookshire and Christopher Lee Wingo were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. June 16, 2007, at Harmony Grove Baptist Church in Cumming. The bride is the daughter of Randall H. and Deborah Brookshire of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Billy J. and Movine Wingo of Gainesville.

The Rev. Mark Stroud performed the ceremony. Pianist Chris Hulsey and vocalists Rebecca Parks Hamby, Milena Parks Herring, April Parks Pruitt and Rebecca Knight Woodall presented a program of wedding music.

The bride was presented in marriage by her parents. The bride’s friend Kathy Reynolds Roberts of Flowery Branch was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters-in-law Elizabeth Leatherbury Brookshire of Woodstock and Mistie Covington Brookshire of Dallas and the bride’s friend Tabitha Ransom Howard of Lula. The bride’s friend Lainey Diane England of Gainesville was the flower girl.

The groom’s friend Ricky Lee Roberts of Flowery Branch was the best man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brothers Keith Terrell Brookshire of Woodstock and Ryan Randall Brookshire of Dallas and the groom’s friend Randy Lee Roberts of Buford.

The bride carried her parents’ wedding rings in her bouquet.

The groom’s family gave a rehearsal dinner at Harmony Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in Cumming on the eve of the wedding.

The bride’s parents gave a reception at the fellowship hall in Cumming following the ceremony. Program attendants were Ashley Marie Davis and Gabriela Yehnathan Sanchez. Barbara Parks Kerby was the wedding coordinator assisted by David Kerby and Laura Kerby Brookshire. The couple left the church in a restored 1964 Mercury Comet belonging to the bride’s grandfather.Randi Paige Ransom kept the bride’s book.

Following a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Virginia Beach, Va., the couple resides in Murrayville.
