Elizabeth Jane Broman and Nathan Mattox Long were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 14, 2007, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cumming. The bride is the daughter of Kathy Broman of Demorest and Dr. John Broman of Gainesville. The groom is the son of Betty and Guy Long of Gainesville.
The Rev. Emmett Long and the Rev. Robb Harrell performed the ceremony. Pianist Dr. Joe Chapman presented a program of wedding music.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father. The bride’s friend Mary Baxter of Gainesville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Jessica Broman of Demorest and the bride’s friends Katie Williamson of Suwanee, Laura Marshall of Athens and Emily Sumner of Suwanee.
The groom’s father was the best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s friend Michael Gundlach of Norcross, the groom’s brother Bronson Long of Bloomington, Ind., and the groom’s friends Matt Wildeboer of Murrayville and J.J. Wiley of Gainesville.
The bride carried flowers arranged by her grandmother and aunt and wore pearl earrings and a necklace given by her father.
The groom’s parents gave a rehearsal dinner at The Foster House in Cumming on the eve of the wedding.
The bride’s parents gave a reception at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cumming following the ceremony. Jan Grimshaw, Gail Trimble, Sally Campbell, Rebecca Conaster, Vicki Morrisson, Alice Davis, Sue Johnson and Bonnie Scarce prepared food for the reception.
Following a wedding trip to Seabrook Island, S.C., the couple resides in Augusta.
