Jaemor Farms purees fresh strawberries and peaches to produce its soft-serve ice cream, which is made daily.
Fresh fruit, a vanilla ice cream base and local fresh milk is all it takes to make a winning homemade ice cream. After four weeks of close competition, Jaemor Farms’ recipe came away as the victor in The Times Homemade Ice Cream Challenge. With 45 percent of the vote, Jaemor beat three other regional ice cream shops: Mountain Fresh Creamery in Clermont, La Mejor de Michoacán in Gainesville and Homemade Ice Cream Gifts and More in Helen.
