Gainesville High School class of 1956 celebrates 60th reunion

Gainesville High School Class of 1956 celebrated its 60th reunion June 3. The food was catered by Johnny’s BBQ. The celebration was hosted by classmate Benny Hawkins and his wife, Jean Hawkins. The class gathered at The Collegiate Grill for lunch June 4, where 37 people attended and five drop-ins from other GHS classes. The final event was at the Chattahoochee Country Club that night with 59 classmates and spouses, friends and significant others. There was a moment of silence for the 40 classmates who died.
