If a pastor wants more people in the pews, then it might be time to try the new tools of the trade: an electric guitar and a drum set. No, that’s not suggesting forming a punk band. But updating a church’s music selection sure doesn’t hurt, according to a report released by the Hartford Institute for Religion Research.
