While the holiday season is full of many great traditions, cookie swap parties are probably the most delicious of them all. If you’re drawing a blank about what to bake, allow us to help. For the next few weeks, we’ll be opening up our recipe boxes to provide 12 days of cookie inspiration. Each week will feature a different theme. For the first of three installments, we’re showcasing fruit-inspired recipes. In between bites of chocolate-chip goodness and candy-buttoned, gingerbread men, sometimes it’s nice to have something a bit less sinful. Adding fruit to cookie recipes can lighten things up and give your taste buds a surprising burst of flavor. Perhaps even better than providing a lighter-flavored counterpart to some of the other recipes out there, all of these cookies can be made in advance. 12 Days of Cookies starts today with fruit-inspired cookies, then Dec. 14 we’ll share recipes for tasty bars. And on Dec. 21, we’ll take a look at cookies that aren’t your everyday cookie.
