Air Force Airman Angelina M. Gazboda and Air Force Reserve Airman Jennifer L. Patterson have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

They completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Gazboda is the daughter of Ronald Gazboda of Murrayville.

Patterson is the daughter of Edward Tilson of Gainesville and a 2004 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville

Pvt. Matthew Charles Sneed recently graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Benning.

This training focused on developing a motivated, physically fit and disciplined soldier with a set of basic combat skills. Sneed is now attending Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston in Texas, where he is earning the military occupational specialty of a combat medic.

Sneed is the grandson of Joel M. Sneed of Flowery Branch, who is a U.S. Army veteran as an officer in the Corps of Engineers, and the son of Sgt. 1st Class Brian B. Sneed who will be serving in Iraq beginning in February.
