Butch Miller stands with Hannah Cadenhead and her teacher Beth Hester. Miller escorted the two to a recent Rotary Club meeting where Hannah was honored.

Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy student Hannah Cadenhead recently was invited to attend the Rotary Club of Gainesville's meeting and luncheon. The Rotary's Students of the Month were chosen by the faculty and staff of their respective schools for outstanding citizenship and their contributions to their school and their fellow classmates. Hannah is the daughter of Trish McCoy and David Cadenhead. She was accompanied to the luncheon by her mother and her teacher, Beth Hester.

C.W. Davis Middle School student Hailey Pierson recently was named the Hall County winner in the 2009 Clean Water Campaign Essay Contest. The award is sponsored by the North Georgia Water Planning Commission. A ceremony was held to honor Hailey, and County Commissioner Bobby Banks made the award presentation.

Lakeview Academy seniors Bay Nixon and Brian Scully recently were named Commended Students in the 2010 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of those who entered the competition by taking the 2008 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
