Flowery Branch Mayor Diane Hirling presents Nathalie Brock with a framed card and certificate.

The Chicopee Woods Elementary Chorus recently sang Christmas carols throughout Hall County. They joined a choir of more than 800 area students at the Gwinnett Gladiators Sing for Santa event and also sang at the Elachee Nature Science Center.

The city of Flowery Branch chose drawings from local students for its Christmas card. The winning drawings were from Nathalie Brock of West Hall Middle School and Zach Miller of C. W. Davis Middle School. Both students were presented with a framed card and certificate, and their classes received a plaque and cupcakes.

Flowery Branch High School’s choir took the stage at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., on Nov. 30 as part of the resort’s Disney Magic Music Days. Choral ensembles from around the country apply to perform each year as part of the event, and, once selected, the groups have the opportunity to perform at Disney World for theme park guests.
