The Hall County Relay for Life Kick Off 2013 started with a pleasant, unexpected surprise of a $10,000 donation from Northeast Georgia Emergency Medical Team.
The group has always helped at the relay for many years by providing first aid as well as entertaining children with a tour of the ambulance.
The group also brings the “pink ambulance,” which shows what Relay for Life works toward.
The money will go to more research and programs to help cancer patients.
The Hall County relay will be from 6 p.m. to midnight May 31 at Road Atlanta.
Register as a survivor on the website and attend the Survivor Dinner on May 13 at First United Methodist Church on Thompson Bridge Road.
