Kathryn Hucks, a 2014 Lumpkin County High School graduate, won first in the client services event in late June and early July at the Future Business Leaders of America National Leadership Conference in Nashville, Tenn. Hucks progressed to NLC by competing at region conference and placing first in the state competition in March in Atlanta. The event required impromptu problem-solving and communication skills while interacting with judges from business and industry.
