Heidi Schureck has recently completed her Girl Scout Gold Award Project. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. She is a member of local Girl Scout Troop No. 109. Heidi, in collaboration with Paint Slingers, has painted murals throughout the children’s preschool space of First Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Heidi and Paint Slingers have dedicated numerous hours throughout the past few months transforming the children’s space into a warm and welcoming area.

Sterling on the Lake’s annual Harvest Balloon Festival in Flowery Branch raised more than $19,000 to benefit the Hall County Animal Shelter and Challenged Child and Friends, which serves children with disabilities.
