The Tanger Outlets in Commerce delivered supplies to area animal shelters including Gainesville’s Humane Society of Northeast Georgia. More than 1,200 items were collected in July and August at the outlet mall during its monthlong supply drive, all of which were divided up and delivered animal shelters in Winder, Jefferson and Gainesville. The donations are put to good use, said Julie Edwards, acting executive director of the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia, “I am so excited to see all these donations as it shows how much people care,” she said.
