Haley E. Woody, a 2013 Chestatee High School graduate, completed basic training June 20 with the U.S. Navy at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Ill. Woody earned the “Navy Club of the United States Military Excellence Award” for the top graduate of the class who excelled in all areas and demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities. She earned the award over 480 other graduates from six divisions.
