New York Times best-selling author Haywood Smith was the guest speaker at the Northeast Georgia Writers Club’s annual awards banquet May 7.
Smith’s six successful historical novels, set in England and Scotland, won critical acclaim and garnered many devout fans.
Jeanne Hozak, assistant director for adult services with the Hall County Library system, was the awards presenter.
The Northeast Georgia Writers’s purpose is to encourage new writers, promote established writers and to improve the quality of their writing. Membership is open to all persons interested in writing.
