The Friends of the Braselton-West Jackson Library held their annual meeting April 8 with novelist Terry Kay as the guest speaker. Kay has written nine published novels and is in the Georgia Writers Hall of Fame. He discussed his latest novel, “The Book of Marie,” at the meeting and signed copies.



The Georgia Egg Commission recently named 10 finalists in its Egg Recipe Contest. Virginia Webb of Clarkesville, with Individual Ritzy Meatloaf, and Brad Alison of Braselton, with Asparagus Quiche, were both named finalists.



The North Hall Lions Club recently raised $1500 during their annual White Cane Days. The money will be given to the Georgia Lions Lighthouse for eye surgeries.



Destinie Sullins was recently voted the Volunteer of the Year for her work at Challenged Child and Friends. She has volunteered with them for nine years.
