If you’re interested in spending the weekend listening to live music, picking flowers or diving into the mysteries of Lake Lanier, consider these four events coming to North Georgia.

Beach Bash

Lake Lanier Exhibit

The Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society is giving the public the opportunity to explore Lake Lanier’s inception and myths with a new exhibit

When: 6 p.m. Friday, July 16, running through Friday,  Aug. 27

The Highwaymen Live

The Highwaymen Live — a tribute band to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash — will perform Saturday, at The Arts Council’s Gladys Wyant Performing Arts Pavilion

When: 8 p.m. Saturday, July 17, gates open at 6 p.m.

Where: Gladys Wyant Performing Arts Pavilion, 331 Spring St. SW, Gainesville

Cost: $35 for adults, $32 for 65 and up, $30 for students, $360 for table of eight

U-Pick Flower Daze

Pick a bouquet of zinnias, sunflowers and marigolds —  and maybe snap a photo or two — at Jaemor Farms during its U-Pick Flower Daze

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 17

Cost: $8 for admission and picking, $5 for entry without picking
