Beach Bash

Lake Lanier Exhibit

The Sugar Hill Historic Preservation Society is giving the public the opportunity to explore Lake Lanier’s inception and myths with a new exhibit. 

When: 6 p.m. Friday, July 16, running through Friday,  Aug. 27

The Highwaymen Live

The Highwaymen Live — a tribute band to Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash — will perform Saturday, at The Arts Council’s Gladys Wyant Performing Arts Pavilion. 

When: 8 p.m. Saturday, July 17, gates open at 6 p.m.

Cost: $35 for adults, $32 for 65 and up, $30 for students, $360 for table of eight

U-Pick Flower Daze

Pick a bouquet of zinnias, sunflowers and marigolds —  and maybe snap a photo or two — at Jaemor Farms during its U-Pick Flower Daze. 

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 17

Cost: $8 for admission and picking, $5 for entry without picking
