Gary and Robin Young of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Leigh Young to Joshua Bland Gray, son of Virginia Gray of Oakwood and the late Coleman Gray Jr.  

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charles and Minnie Leigh Young of Gainesville, Esta Stargel of Flowery Branch and the late Harold Stargel.

She is a 1997 graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2003 from Lanier Technical College with a degree in cosmetology. She is employed as a hair stylist with Hair Dimensions II in Flowery Branch.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Gift and Nina Bland, and the late Lucy and Coleman Gray Sr.
He is a 1995 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. He is employed as a supervisor with Port Royale Marina in Gainesville.

The couple plans to wed Oct. 26, 2008, at Chateau Elan in Braselton.
