Marie and John Lingle of Dahlonega and Scott Waddell of Ellijay announce the engagement of their daughter Amber R. Waddell to Jeremy C. Wehunt, son of Denise and Skipper Bryant of Dahlonega and Amy and Jim Wehunt of Oakwood.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marlene Ellis and Betty Waddell, both of Ellijay.

She is a 2002 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. She graduated in 2006 from Lanier Technical College in Cumming with a degree in practical nursing. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse with Neurology Physician Group in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Terrell and Nell Holtzclaw, Charles and Robbie Wehunt and Charles Bryant, all of Dahlonega, and Bobby and Ann Harbin of Gainesville.

He is a 2002 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. He is employed by Old Federal Millworks in Flowery Branch.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 4, 2008, at Water's Mill in Dahlonega.
