Troy and Sandra Veal of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Heather Ann Veal to Jeffrey Adam Ostrow, son of Barry Ostrow and Linda Ostrow, both of Savannah.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harold and Henrietta Pinson of Gainesville and the late Jack and Lola Veal.

She is a 2002 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2006 from Agnes Scott College in Decatur with a bachelor's degree in English literature and a minor in mathematics. She received a master's degree from Agnes Scott College in secondary English in 2007. She is employed as a math teacher with West Hall High School in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Benjamin and Beatrice Ostrow and the late Albert and Norma Finney.

He is a 2002 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School in Savannah. He plans to graduate in 2008 from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

The couple plans to wed June 7, 2008, at Straightway Baptist Church in Gainesville.
