Keith and Margaret Tingley of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Lindsay Tingley to Alex Taylor, son of Ron and Rosemary Taylor of Dawsonville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Maryann Knorr of Philadelphia, Pa., William and Margie Tingley of Dade City, Fla., Sandy Holcomb of Toccoa, and the late Hoyt Holcomb. She is the great granddaughter of Emma Tingley of Atlanta and Thelma Palmer of Cleveland.

She is a 2004 graduate of Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, Fla. She plans to graduate in May 2008 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in history. She is employed as a financial representative with First Investors Services Group in Atlanta.

The groom-elect is the grandson of James and Ruth Roach of Hermitage, Tenn., and Charles and Ruth Cline of Nashville, Tenn.

He is a 1999 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is employed as a health care recruiter with Maxim Healthcare Services in Gainesville.

The couple plans to wed August 2008, at Cavender Castle in Dahlonega.
