Bruce and Donna Miller of Gainesville and Mickey and Donna Thacker of Cartersville announce the engagement of their daughter Megan Jackson Thacker to Thomas Anthony Fusco, son of Tom and Ginger Fusco of Hoschton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joe and Jeanette Jackson and Willie "Bill" Ruth Fair, all of Cartersville, and the late R.M. Thacker.

She is a 2000 graduate of North Forsyth High School in Cumming. She graduated in 2004 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in nutrition science. She received a doctorate in physical therapy from North Georgia College & State University. She is employed with Pro-Therapy in Braselton.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Anthony Fusco of Ambler, Pa., the late Mary Fusco and the late Walter and Gertrude Carroll.

He is a 2002 graduate of South Gwinnett High School in Snellville. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in economics. He is employed with Ferguson Enterprises Inc. in Braselton.

The couple plan to wed June 6, 2009, at the Ridges Resort and Club in Hiawassee.
