Annette Smoker of Clarkesville and Marlin and Teresa Smoker of Coatesville, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter Brandi Cherise Smoker to Brian Chuck Armour, son of Don and Debbie Armour of Alto.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Paul and Hazel Chastain of Cleveland, Raymond and Margeret Smoker of Gloucester, Va., and the late Victoria Dodson.

She is a 2003 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland. She plans to graduate in 2009 from North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville with a degree in cosmetology.

The groom-elect is the grandson of J.B. and Clara Mae Armour of Alto, Myrtle Martin of Alto and the late Coleman Martin.

He is a 2000 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mount Airy. He graduated from the auto-diesel program at Nashville Auto-Diesel College in Nashville, Tenn. He is employed as a motorcycle repairman with the Hawg Pen in Athens.

The couple plans an open church wedding for 2 p.m. June 21, 2008, at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Cornelia.
