Robert and Linda Smith of Baldwin announce the engagement of their daughter Brittany Marie Smith to Joshua Scott Davidson, son of Scott and Missie Davidson of Lula.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ted and Marie Sternhardt of Cornelia, and the late Bobby Smith of Savannah and Lewis and the late Betty Benfield of Clarkesville.

She is a 2006 graduate of Banks County High School in Homer. She attended Gainesville State College in Oakwood. She is employed at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Wayne and Paula Davidson of Gainesville and the late Janet Shope of Gainesville, and Gladys and the late Billie Smith of Gainesville.

He is a 2006 graduate of East Hall High School in Lula. He graduated in 2008 from Lanier Tech. He is employed as maintenance by Sapa in Oakwood.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 1, 2011, at Kingwood Country Club and Resort in Clayton.
