Kenneth and Sandra Sears of Dahlonega and Lynn and Kenneth Gilstrap of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Christina Diane Sears to James Michael Wallace, son of Jim and Brenda Wallace of Murrayville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert and Elizabeth Sullens of Murrayville and John A. and Illa Belle Sears of Dawsonville.

She is a 2000 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2008 from Lanier Technical College in Oakwood with a degree in dental assisting.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Reed and Grace Lathem and the late Archie and Velna Wallace.

He is a 1989 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 1991 from Lanier Technical College in Oakwood with a degree in electronic technology.

The couple plans to wed April 5, 2008, in a beach ceremony in Destin, Fla.
