Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Rook of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter Arlynn Marie Rook to William Matthew Wilbanks, son of Mr. and Mrs. John George Wilbanks II of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Rook of Norco, La., Mrs. Audrey K. Brady of Norco and the late Mr. Roland Brady.

She is a 2003 graduate of Starrs Mill High School in Fayetteville. She graduated in 2007 from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is employed as a public relations coordinator with Larson-Juhl in Atlanta. She is a member of Kappa Delta sorority, Rho Lambda Panhellenic honors society and served as director for the University of West Georgia Dance Marathon, supporting Children’s Miracle Network

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard William Schwind of Gainesville and Mr. and Mrs. John George Wilbanks Sr. of Chatsworth.

He is a 2003 graduate of Johnson High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2007 from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a minor in psychology, as well as a graduate certificate in public management. He is attending the University of Georgia in Athens pursuing a master’s degree in public administration and public finance. He is a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi honors society and served as the Interfraternity Council president.

The couple plans to wed May 30, 2008, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City.
