Carroll and Jodie Roberts of Alapaha announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Carroll Roberts to Riley Jake Hulsey, son of Curtis and Wendy Hulsey of Cleveland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Steve and Elaine Roberts of Alapaha and the late Carroll and Jolly Harper.

She is a 2007 graduate of Citizens Christian Academy in Douglas. She is pursuing a degree in mathematics from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. She is employed as an administrative assistant with Hendrix and Dail Inc. in Tifton.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Eunice Hulsey of Cleveland, the late Telford Hulsey, Frank and Mildred Smith of Murrayville, and the late Jeanette Smith.

He is a 2006 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in diversified agriculture from Abraham Baldwin Agricutural College in Tifton. He is employed as a farm manager with CSR Farms in Alapha.

The couple plan to wed Jan. 2, 2010, at Spring Hill Baptist Church in Oscilla.
