Craig and Gwen Puntervold of Talmo announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Nicole Puntervold to Christopher Allan Kubiak, son of John and Julie Puckett of Jefferson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Arthur and Valerie Puntervold of Athens, and W.A. and Christine Martin of Talmo.

She is a 2003 graduate of Jackson County Comprehensive High School in Jefferson. She graduated in 2010 from Piedmont College with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a dispatcher at OSG Freight Lines in Oakwood.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Daniel Kubiak and Arlene Kubiak of Summerville, Fla., and Pete Toney of Royston.

He is a 2003 graduate of Jackson County Comprehensive High School in Jefferson. He is employed as a general manager by Subway in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 15, 2011, in Gainesville.
