Eddie and Karen Pruitt of Cumming announce the engagement of their daughter Kelby Leigh Pruitt to Bennett Neal Mayfield, son of Tim and Dianne Mayfield of Cumming.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Pruitt of Cumming, the late Edwin Pruitt, Jerry Anderson of Cumming and the late Margaret Anderson.

She is a 2002 graduate of Forsyth Central High School in Cumming. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in biological science and graduated in 2011 from Sanford-Brown Institute in Atlanta with a degree in diagnostic medical sonography. She is employed as a medical assistant with Perimeter North Internal Medicine in Roswell.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Paul and June Grizzle of Murrayville and the late Leroy and Frances Mayfield.

He is a 2002 graduate of North Forsyth High School in Cumming. He graduated in 2007 from Augusta State University in Augusta with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He received a master's degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta in 2008. He is employed as an account coordinator with LEJ Sports Group in Norcross.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 20, 2011, at Lake Rabun Estate in Lakemont.
