Mr. and Mrs. John Craven Pearce of Clayton announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Jana Suzanne Pearce to Mr. Nicola Michael Mastrogiovanni, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pompeo Rosario Mastrogiovanni of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Linda Howington Craft of Clayton, the late Mr. Lanier Blake Craft, Dr. and Mrs. John Franklin Pearce of Gainesville and the late Mrs. Carolyn Small Pearce.

She is a 1999 graduate of Rabun County High School in Clayton. She graduated in 2003 from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She received a master’s degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta in 2006. She is employed as a program coordinator with The HERO House, LLC in Kennesaw.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. DeAngelo Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Amedeo Mastrogiovanni.
He is a 1997 graduate of West Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2002 from The University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in risk management and real estate. He is employed as president of Tuscany Construction Company Inc., in Buford.

The couple plan to wed Nov. 6, 2010, in Clayton.
