Richard and Deena Dickerson of Jefferson announce the engagement of their daughter Cassidy Leshae Norris to Daniel William Barrett, son of Rodney and Teresa Barrett of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mae Norris of Oakwood, the late Jesse Norris, Sue Wodensheck of Gainesville, and Lamar and Wanda Dickerson of Delaware, Ark. She is a 2002 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She is employed as an accountant with Brose Gainesville, Inc. in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Gaitha Barrett of Homer, the late Frank Barrett, and the late David and Mary Souther.

He is a 1998 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is employed as an automotive technician with Wal-Mart in Gainesville.

The couple plans to wed May 3, 2008, at Corinth Baptist Church in Gainesville.
