Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Morgan of Lula announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Ashley Lauren Morgan to Mr. Dustin Joel Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Carter of Gillsville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Henson of Lula and the late Mr. and Mrs. Pete Morgan. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Alma Clark of Gainesville.

She is a 2004 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2009 from Brenau University in Gainesville with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Ray Holcomb of Gillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Carter of Gainesville.

He is a 1999 graduate of East Hall High School in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed April 10, 2010, at Cape San Blas, Fla.
