Wayne Odell and Deborah S. Moody Jr. of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Mistie Lynn Moody to Scott McNeer Davis, son of Sherri McNeer Davis of Marietta and the late Larry Dean Davis.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Young J. Seay Sr. of Gainesville, Mrs. Sarah M. Moody of Gainesville and the late Mr. Wayne O. Moody Sr.

She is a 2000 graduate of Gainesville High School. She is employed with Advance Eye Center in Gainesville. She is a member of Lanier Hills Church in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Julius William Davis of Atlanta, Mrs. Ila Mae McNeer of Southhaven, Miss., and the late Mr. Vernon Martin McNeer.

He is a 1999 graduate of Wheeler High School in Marietta. He is employed with Montrose Animal Hospital in Marietta. He is a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta.

The couple plans to wed April 19, 2008, at Central Baptist Church in Gainesville.
