Lenny and Sherry Dec of Braselton announce the engagement of their daughter Amber Michelle McDonald to Joshua Roy Alto Tatum, son of Connie Faye Tatum of Oakwood and the late Bonnie Michael Tatum. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Danny McDonald.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of J.T. and Edna Wofford of Gainesville, Lillie McDonald of Central, S.C., and the late Albert McDonald.

The groom-elect is the grandson of JoAnn Garner of Oakwood, the late Roy Garner and the late Charles Alto and Louis Tatum.

The couple plan to wed June 2009 at the Alpine Wedding Chapel in Helen.
