Morris and Suzy Mayo of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Cynthia Sue Mayo to Justin David Roland, son of J.R. and Patricia Collette of Birmingham, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Floyd and Geneva Mayo of Gainesville, Sue Anderson of Gainesville and the late Andy Anderson.

She is a 2003 graduate of North Forsyth High School in Cumming. She graduated in 2007 from Brenau University in Gainesville with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She is currently attending Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Doris McDonald of Macon and the late Norman McDonald.

He is a 2001 graduate of North Forsyth High School in Cumming. He is employed as a firefighter with the Forsyth County Fire Department.

The couple plans an open-church wedding for 4 p.m. March 15, 2008, at New Hope United Methodist Church in Gainesville.
