Darryll and Cathy Martin of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Allyson Leigh Martin to Daniel Glenn Thomas, son of Jimmy and Gina Mutter of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harold and Evelyn Martin of Gainesville, Doris Poore of Gillsville and the late Ray Poore.

She is a 2004 graduate of Chestatee High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in middle grades education. She is employed as a teacher with East Hall Middle School in Gainesville..

The groom-elect is the grandson of Clarence and Shirley Lewis of Gainesville. He is a 2002 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in mathematics education.

The couple plan to wed July 11, 2009, at the Reunion Golf Club in Hoschton.
