Dr. and Mrs. Paul Manard of LaGrange announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Adriene Kendall Manard to Mr. Eugene Charles Ged Jr., son of Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Charles Ged of Wyckoff, N.J. The groom-elect is the son of the late Mrs. Mary Ann Ged.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. A.J. Manard of Vero Beach, Fla., the late Mrs. Helen Manard, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Whisnant of Conover, N.C.

She is a 2001 graduate of West Hall High School in Oakwood. She graduated in 2005 from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro with a bachelor's degree in interior design. She is employed as an associate general manager of waterworks in Estero, Fla.

The groom-elect is a graduate of Villanova University in Villanova, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in political science. He is the owner of Heights Title Services in Naples and Cape Coral, Fla.

The couple plans to wed in the spring of 2009.
