Mr. and Mrs. Mark Lovell of Cartersville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Tabitha Anne Lovell to Mr. Jared Timothy Hunt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donnie Hunt of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sharon Mendellhall of Tallahassee, Fla., the late Mr. and Mrs. George Lovell and the late Mr. Jim Eubanks.

She is a 2001 graduate of Cartersville High School in Cartersville. She graduated in 2005 from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in agriculture. She received a master's degree at the University of Georgia in journalism and mass communication in 2008. She is employed as a teacher with the Hall County school system.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Mildred Sosby of Toccoa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Don R. Hunt.

He is a 2005 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He is pursuing a bachelor's degree in music from the University of Georgia in Athens.

The couple plan to wed July 4, 2009, at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville.
