Mr.and Mrs. Frederick "Rick" Lane of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Miss Margaret Ellen "Molly" Lane to Lt. Jared Thomas Churchill Blakey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Blakey Jr. of Marietta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Larry Pardue Sr. of Gainesville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Louis Lane.

She is a 2004 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in business marketing and is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at North Georgia. She is employed as an admissions officer with North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega. She is a member of Phi Mu sorority.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Churchill Blakey Sr. of Garden City, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Miller Henderson of Miami Shores, Fla., and the late Mrs. Margaret Sentell Henderson.

He is a 2003 graduate of George Walton High School in Marietta. He graduated in 2008 from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor's degree in business marketing. He is serving as a lieutenant with the U.S. Army stationed in White Sands, N.M. He is a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

The couple plan to wed July 11, 2009, at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville.
