Samuel E. Keller Jr. of San Jose, Calif., and Anne S. Allen of Richmond, Va., announce the engagement of their daughter Catherine Allen Keller to Donald Andrew House, son of Donald and Sabrina House of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of William D. Allen Jr. of Dinwiddie, Va., and the late Virginia S. Allen, and Anne Keller of Concord, N.C., and the late Samuel E. Keller.

She is a 2003 graduate of Blessed Sacrament Huguenot in Powhatan, Va. She graduated in 2007 from Furman University with a degree in business administration. She is employed as a senior operations coordinator at Cushman and Wakefield of Washington, D.C., Inc., in Washington, D.C.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ray Holland of Clarkesville and Laquita Holland of Gainesville and Jerry House of Gainesville and the late Bill House.

He is a 2004 graduate of Gainesville High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2008 from Piedmont College with a degree in sociology and political science. He is employed as a policy coordinator by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials in Washington, D.C.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 24, 2013, at Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyard in Charlottesville, Va.
