Patricia Leigh Jackson of Hoschton announces the engagement of their daughter Cherie Danielle Jackson to Blake Douglas Green, son of David Green of Buford and Carol Green of Cumming. The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Daniel Wayne Jackson.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Faye Jackson of Winder, the late Riley Jackson, Cora McGee of Decatur and the late Arthur McGee.

She is a 2002 graduate of Jackson County High School in Jefferson. She graduated in 2006 from Lanier Technical College with an associate degree in criminal justice. She is employed as a probation officer with JAG Probation in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Hazel Green of Buford, and the late Douglas Green.

He is a 2001 graduate of Berkmar High School in Lilburn. He graduated in 2005 from Georgia State University with a bachelor's degree in business. He is employed in pharmaceutical sales with Forest Pharmaceuticals in Atlanta.

The couple plan to wed July 25, 2011, at Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa, Dominican Republic.
