Emmett Stephen and Rosemary Turner Inlow of Dahlonega announce the engagement of their daughter Dorothy Elizabeth Inlow to William Walter Harper, son of Sarah Turner Harper of Columbus and Richard Otha Harper Sr. of Virginia Beach, Va.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dorothy Hamilton and Clinton Walter Turner Sr. of Dahlonega, Virginia Gibbs and Emmett E. Jr. Inlow of Whigham, and the late Dorothy Hodges Inlow.
She is a 1997 graduate of Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega. She graduated in 2002 from Piedmont College in Athens with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She received a master’s degree in 2006 from Piedmont College in with a degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a third grade teacher with Dawson County Board of Education in Dawsonville.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Helen Faulk and William Henry Turner Sr., and the late Ida Cooke and Ellis Walter Harper.
He is a 1986 graduate of Hardaway High School in Columbus. He graduated from Athens Technical College in Athens with a degree in machine tool technology. He is employed as a machinist with Eaton Corporation in Athens. He is a cyclist on the John Deere Cycling Team in Athens.
The couple plans to wed July 5, 2008, at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens.
