Samuel Harvey and Anita Lynn Howser of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Andrea Lynn Howser to Alan Jason Wallhausen, son of Bob and Sally Wallhausen of Dawsonville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mildred Vandiver, the late Joel Vandiver, Gertrude Howser and the late Roy Howser, all of Gainesville.

She is a 2002 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. She graduated in 2007 from North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville with a degree in commercial photography. She is employed as a patient care technician in the emergency room at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ernest Wallhausen of Alpharetta.

He is a 1996 graduate of West Hall High School. He graduated in 2001 from North Georgia State College & University in Dahlonega with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is employed as a manager with Republic Finance in Dahlonega.

The couple plan to wed July 24, 2010, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Gainesville.
