Richard Hein of Statesboro and Jackie Walters Gordon and Gregg Gordan of Gainesville announce the engagement of their daughter Jacqueline Ashley Hein to Jason Christopher Dunckel, son of Bradley and Sheila Dunckel of Gainesville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jim Walters and Peggy Walters of Gainesville, and Patricia Hein of Satesboro.

She is a 2004 graduate of Lakeview Academy in Gainesville. She is employed as a master stylist at Princeton Salon and Spa in Buford.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Gwen and Donald Dunckel of Gainesville, and Jack and Mary Allison of Gainesville.

He is a 2005 graduate of North Hall High School in Gainesville. He graduated in 2009 from North Georgia College & State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is employed by Wilheit Packaging in Gainesville.

The couple plan to wed Oct. 1, 2011, in St. Simons Island.
