Larry and Bridget Hedden of Dahlonega announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Catherine Hedden to Steven John Yorkey Sr., son of Beth and Evert Maness of Dahlonega and the late Dean Rasnick.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of John Pulley of Dahlonega, the late Antionette Pulley, Opal Hedden of Franklin, N.C., and the late Elmer Hedden.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Faith Childress of Alabama, the late Jesse Childress, Rosa Claira Jabivo of Farmington Hills, Va., and the late Woodrow Rasnick.

The couple plan to wed Aug. 29, 2008, at the Alpine Wedding Chapel in Helen.
