Darryl and Ann Harrison of Cornelia announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Brooke Harrison to James Levi Nix, son of Jimmy and Denise Nix of Cleveland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Andrew and Sarah Boatwright of Cornelia, the late Idus Harrison and the late John and Lorene Davis.

She is a 2004 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mount Airy. She plans to graduate in May 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in early childhood and special education. She will be employed as a teacher with the White County School System in Cleveland this fall.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Rudez and Ruth Nix and Ben and Hazel Ward, all of Gainesville.

He is a 2004 graduate of White County High School in Cleveland. He plans to graduate in May 2008 from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega with a bachelor's degree in English secondary education. He will be employed as a teacher with Hall County School System in Gainesville this fall.

The couple plans an open church wedding for 2 p.m. May 31, 2008, at Mud Creek Baptist Church in Cornelia.
